Even its major series, like the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) and Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) have expanded over the years to offer buy-ins for micro-level to high-stakes players and everyone in between.

But there is one online poker tournament series that hits directly at the heart of micro-stakes players: MicroMillions.

The series runs several times each year due to its popularity. MicroMillions 15 just took place in July, but the next iteration is set and ready to kick off on November 10.

MicroMillions 16 will get started on November 10 and run through November 24. And during that time, there will be 147 tournaments that will cumulatively guarantee $4.3 million in prize money.

The series is bigger than the last edition when it was announced. This one will offer six more events and $500K more in guarantees.

Here are some other fun facts about MicroMillions 16:

–The lowest buy-in of the series will be $1.10.

–There are 41 tournaments at the $1.10 buy-in level.

–There will be 89 hold’em tournaments.

–There will be 58 non-hold’em events.

–There will be 35 turbo tournaments.

–Other formats will include Omaha, Eights-or-Better, Zoom, Showdown, Fusion, and 6+ Hold’em.

By the way, when MicroMillions 15 wrapped up, it exceeded its guarantees by a huge margin. It awarded $5,069,941 across its 141 tournaments. PokerStars made 164,893 payouts to a total of 75,383 players. And in all, more than 200,000 players competed in the series.

Schedule Highlights

The most obvious highlight of MicroMillions 16 is going to be the Main Event. The $22 buy-in NLHE Main Event will be the highest buy-in event of the series but offer a $1 million guarantee.

The only other tournament with a buy-in of more than $5.50 will be the November 17 Sunday Storm with a $11 buy-in and $250K guarantee.

Then there is Event 1. It is a $4.40 buy-in Phase tournament with a $500K guarantee. Players can play as many times as they’d like from now until November 24, as Phase 1 options happen every two hours. On that last day of the series, Phase 2 will begin with players in the money. There will be Phase 1 events running every day from now until then.

On the first day of MicroMillions 16 – November 10 – there will be six tournaments in addition to Phase 1 of Event 1:

Event 2 at 13:00 ET: $5.50 NLHE with $200K GTD

Event 3 at 14:30 ET: $3.30 PLO 6-Max Progressive KO with $25K GTD

Event 4 at 16:00 ET: $3.30 NLHE 8-Max with $50K GTD

Event 5 at 17:30 ET: $1.10 NLHE 6-Max Hyper-Turbo Progressive KO with $15K GTD

Event 6 at 19:00 ET: $5.50 6+ NLHE Six-Max Turbo with $10K GTD

Event 7 at 20:00 ET: $1.10 NLHE Heads-up Turbo Zoom Progressive Total KO with $5K GTD

And on the last day of action – November 24 – there will be 10 events in addition to Phase 2 of Event 1:

Leaderboards Galore

It is no surprise that MicroMillions 16 has a leaderboard, but there are several of them and $5K in prizes up for grabs.

Players earn points on the leaderboards for finishing in the money in MicroMillions events. There will be leaderboards set up for several regions, including Europe and the UK, Latin America, Asia, CIS, and the rest of the world. The winner of each regional leaderboard will receive $1,000, and everyone in the top 50 of each leaderboard will receive cash prizes.

There are many ways to get into MicroMillions 16 events without even paying the full buy-in amounts.

Spin & Go’s are already running daily for as low as $0.35 and $0.40. And thousands of tournaments tickets will be awarded in that way.

There will be a freeroll on November 18 that will award $10K in MicroMillions tickets. Players who compete in at least 10 MicroMillions tournaments before then and play one Phase event between from November 10-17 will receive a ticket to the freeroll.

Second Chance freerolls will also run from November 18-24. Players eliminated from a MicroMillions event without a payout from November 17 forward will receive a ticket to the all-in shootout freeroll the following day. Each freeroll will offer $2K in MicroMillions tickets.
